Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Yes, we do offer sliding scale rates based on the individual or family circumstances. Please reach out to me with any concerns you or your family may have regarding the pricing for services.

What payment options do you have for therapy?

We currently only accept E-transfers made directly through your bank account. This is due to the online nature of the therapeutic services offered.

Do you offer insurance coverage?

Yes and no. We do not directly bill to your insurance. However, you can submit your invoice/receipts to your insurance company for reimbursment. Please speak with your insurance company directly to ensure you have coverage. 
The coverage would be listed as a Registered Social Worker or Psychotherapist.

What if I want to stop services or change my therapist?

All therapists are different as we are all human at the end of the day. There is no judgement or issues with wanting to stop or change services. We encourage our clients to find a therapist they feel most comfortable with as it is important to feel safe when in a vulnerable position. 
If at any time, you would like to stop or change services, all we ask if you connect with us in whichever way you feel comfortable to let us know what you would like to do. 
If you need help finding other services more suited to your needs, we do not mind supporting you throughout this process. Your healing journey is always about YOU, you are in the drivers seat.

Which platform do you use for video sessions?

Bee Kind Counselling is set up with a secure PHIPA approved database called Owl Practice. This database allows us to securely hold your contact information as well as progress within counselling. This is also where we schedule appointments and provide video sessions.

How long does each therapy session take?

Each therapy session is a total of 50 minutes, allowing 10 minutes between each client. If you would like a longer or shorter session please connect with your therapist to have this modified.

How many sessions do you recommend?

It is all based on your personal needs and goals. We will work together with you needs, goals and budget to form a plan together that is best suited to you. This will be dependant on the nature of your goals (longer term, short term).
